Edifer Leads the Consortium for the new Goa Airport

Edifer leads a consortium which includes an important group of national companies and institutions for the building of the New Goa Airport in India.
The companies integrating this consortium are Soares da Costa, Iberpartners, ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, Parque Expo and the Efisa Bank.
The consortium is represented at the highest level in the Foreign Affairs Minister’s present Mission to India, during which contacts with the Central Government and the Government of Goa will be established to assess the project development progress.
This Portuguese consortium was made in the scope of the cooperation and proximity policy developed between the governments of the two states, by increasing cooperation between Portuguese and Indian companies.
With an early estimated investment of around USD 400 million, the Goa region new airport infrastructure, to be located in Mopa, is one of the several projects covered by the Indian Government Infrastructure Development Plan (on PPP business model), for which this corsortium has considered itself to be in a privileged position to successfully bid for.
The consortium strengths are:
- Deep experience in the airport business;
- Financial capacity;
- Strong cultural relations with Goa;
- Relevant skills on infrastructure engineering and building;
- Strong skills and expertise on the BOT, PPP and PFI models;
- Strong skills on territorial development national and international projects.
