The works consisted in cable anchorage mainly characterised by a high level of tension.
Anchorages were made with definite and provisional characteristics.
The building process of the deck sustaining arch of the viaduct over Almonte river, which made it impossible to build an arch centre on the ground, has required the ‘mooring’ of external pile shoes to the river borders, so that they might support an additional load pressure which results from the suspension of the formwork and concreting of the referred arch, avoiding the possibility of pile ‘tearing’ from the supporting point. |
